Suzi Nafziger brings more than 30 years of mortgage industry experience to her role as a Mortgage Loan Originator, with a background spanning nearly every stage of the lending process.

Since entering the mortgage industry in 1993, Suzi has worked as a Mortgage Loan Processor, Processing Manager, Underwriter, and USDA Underwriter for correspondent lending in Illinois. Her experience also includes closing, post-closing, VA guarantee, and HMDA compliance.

That broad operational background gives Suzi an understanding of what happens behind the scenes of a mortgage, allowing her to help borrowers navigate the process with clarity, confidence and attention to detail.

Suzi joined Luminate Bank in 2026 and is licensed to lend in all 50 states.

A Broad Range of Mortgage Solutions

Suzi works with first-time and repeat homebuyers and enjoys helping clients find financing that aligns with their individual circumstances and long-term goals.

Her mortgage expertise includes grant programs for first-time and repeat buyers, Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) tax credit programs for eligible first-time homebuyers and veterans, and a variety of specialized financing options.

She also offers non-QM loans, construction loans, bridge loans, and Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOCs). For eligible medical professionals, Suzi can also help with physician loan programs that may offer no down payment and no private mortgage insurance.

With such a broad range of products available, Suzi focuses on understanding what each borrower is trying to accomplish before helping them explore their options.

Deep Roots in Bloomington-Normal

Suzi has called Bloomington, Illinois home since 1992. After graduating from Pontiac High School in 1986, she earned her degree from Eastern Illinois University in 1992, where she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta.

She has deep personal and professional roots in the Bloomington-Normal community, where she married, raised her two children, Carli and Mason, and continues to live and work today.

Community involvement is an important part of Suzi's life. In September 2025, she became a founding member of Bloomington-Normal Thrive Rotary, where she currently serves as Membership Chair. She has also served as an Ambassador for the McLean County Chamber of Commerce and participated in numerous community fundraising committees.

Suzi is also a proud supporter of Central Catholic High School, where both of her children attended.

Life Outside of Mortgage Lending

Suzi enjoys staying active and spending time in the community outside of work. Her interests include sports, golf, fitness, cooking, and exploring the world of wine.

Golf is especially meaningful to Suzi because it often brings together many of the things she enjoys most: staying active and connecting with members of her community. She also enjoys combining her professional and personal interests through community events, fundraising, and service.

Whether she is helping a first-time buyer explore grant opportunities, guiding a veteran through an MCC program, working through a construction loan, or simply helping a borrower understand their mortgage options, Suzi brings decades of hands-on mortgage experience to the table.



Her approach is grounded in knowledge, integrity, and genuine care for the people she serves, with a goal of making the mortgage process as smooth and rewarding as possible.
